LET'S BUILD A BETTER BROOKLYN PARK

TRANSFORM TRANSPORTATION
Most residents feel that the current transportation system doesn't meet our needs. It’s hard for people without cars to get to where they need to go in the city, and its hard for people outside Brooklyn Park to come here. Our residents deserve true leadership and vision in this area. I will look for creative ways to invest in our transportation, including busing and the Blue Line so all of us get where we're going safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

ALL ARE WELCOME HERE
Diversity is our strength, our vitality, our source of innovation and creativity, and our future. As a city, we have made motions toward inclusion, but we need a sincere effort to realize the dream of a truly inclusive, welcoming city for our BIPOC, LGBTQ, disabled and other communities. I've worked tirelessly in this area for most of my life, and I know how to move the conversation forward for our future.

AN ECONOMY FOR ALL OF US
Small businesses are the heart and soul of any city. They help retain the local character, create local jobs, and add to our tax base. As a small business owner and consultant, I understand what is needed for small businesses to prosper. We're in danger of being overrun by chains and anonymous industrial sites and we need thoughtful planning that preserves our character and community feeling. It's time for Brooklyn Park to look at what our neighbor cities are doing to encourage small business, and to catch up!

PUBLIC SAFETY THAT WORKS
Everyone deserves safety in the city they call home. Right now, crime is increasing and it is more important than ever to build relationships that will keep us all safe. We need cooperation and solidarity between the police and communities, and between surrounding cities. I will work tirelessly to build these key relationships, strengthen communication and trust, and create public safety we can be proud of.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR OUR FAMILIES
Brooklyn Park is a thriving, inner-ring suburb with access to great jobs and beautiful parks. We need to retain and grow our affordable, family-friendly homes. I will work to make sure that working families, single parents, and young people can find a home to call their own in Brooklyn Park, so that they can continue to come here and build our future.
CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change is having an increasing impact. Brooklyn Park needs to be an innovator and leader in this area. We need to join other Green Step cities in creating a bold agenda to preserve our incredible green spaces, explore electric busses and other climate-friendly transport, improve and expand bike lanes, and take a committed, comprehensive approach to doing our part for the planet.
